Herăstrău Park is Bucharest's largest park. Within the environs are many areas such as an open air theatre, sports club, open air museum and of course, Herăstrău Lake.

There has been an arch on this site since 1878. Victorious troops were to march under the structure after Romania achieved Independence. The current arch is the third incarnation modelled after the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. It has graced Bucharest since 1936.

The Romanian Orthodox Patriarchal Cathedral functions as a regular landmark and religious purpose during the daylit hours. At night the grounds are taken over for darker purposes.

Hanul lui Manuc - Manuc's Inn

This popular establishment houses a bar with private rooms above. If you wish to have a little more freedom, there is an enclosed courtyard that may be visited. The Inn was built in 1808 and has housed many different hospitality business from restaurants to bars to a coffee house.

Bucharest is known as the Paris of the East. She is filled with lights just like that other City of Light and there are other familiar sights such as an Arch of Trumph.
